OptiDisc - flexible polishing and
contouring disc from Kerr Dental.

 HiLuster OptiDisc®, finishing and polishing discs, allow your restorations to obtain a final polish equal to that of natural dentition. The three-grit system achieves a higher surface gloss in fewer steps than competitive products. An Extra-Coarse disc is also available for gross removal prior to finishing and polishing. OptiDiscs are translucent for enhanced working surface visibility.

  • Flush-mounted mandrel. Protects neighboring teeth and tissue.
  • Identifiable color-coding system. Color indicates grit type and abrasive side.
  • Three-step polishing system. Achieves natural high gloss with fewer steps.
  • Contouring disc. Extra-Coarse grit available for contouring prior to finishing and polishing.


OptiDisc vs. 3M

OptiDisc achieves a higher surface polish in just three steps compared with other fourstep systems. The charts above demonstrate that the Coarse/Medium OptiDisc has higher mass revoval properties than the Coarse Sof-Lex XT, yet inflicts less surface roughness on a restoration, resulting in an easier-to-achieve, smoother final polish.
